Modeling

This FastTrack chart takes the 1,000+ equity funds in the T D Waterhouse fund trading program and computes a short list of the best funds each quarter. Then, quarterly,  FastTrack shifts 25% of assets among this short list of funds, an S&P 500 Index fund, and Treasury bonds. This strategy produced the 17.53% annualized return shown in red since 1994.

While there was a steep draw down in 1999, the strategy had good returns during the ensuing 5-year bear market. The Modeling is not optimized. The trading is based entirely on the returns of the funds during the previous quarter.
